Satin Rising Dragon Kimono for Men

This shorter length happi kimono features an extravagant dragon motif, embroidered in red, gold & silver. The ‘rising dragon’ features on both the front and the back. It even has a handy pocket in the right hand seam. As with all our japanese robes, it is supplied with a matching belt (sewn inside the sleeve on delivery). There are no belt loops, as is customary with kimono. We also carry wider and more substantial Obi belts in red, navy and black for added flare (see below). These are particularly handy for the larger gentleman – otherwise the included belt can be tricky to tie in the traditional method (passed twice round the waist). This traditional method is best as the material is quite slick and the friction of double wrapping keeps everything together.

Suitable for wear throughout the year, this happi kimono is a great alternative to a traditional dressing gown and great for swanning around, making tea and general lounging – but naturally you can style it however you like! Any of our robes are useful as a light outer layer just to keep off the chill. We also find that they’re excellent travel dressing gowns – the fabric is light and can fold to fill no space at all!
