A dressing gown, just a bit more fun! Our Japanese Kimono for men are crafted from fine cotton and printed with beautiful designs in Kyoto. Made for the modern age, our Kimono are relaxed, comfortable and easy to care for. Perfect for sitting down to breakfast, throwing on after a bath, or simply just lounging around. We carry calf length men's Happi as well as longer ankle length men's Yukata for those chilly mornings.

About Our Kimono

Discover the charm of Japanese style with our men’s kimono robes – designed as a stylish, comfortable alternative to traditional dressing gowns. Made in Kyoto and inspired by classic Japanese Happi and Yukata, these lightweight robes are relaxed and comfortable. Cut from breathable cotton and soft broadcloth, our kimonos are easy to wear and care for.

The sleeves are luxuriously relaxed, designed to stay out of the way and also double as pocket for small items (perhaps a tissue or two for winter sniffles). Our Happi (shorter kimono) have proper pockets, suitable for larger items like a phone. A matching belt is sewn inside the sleeve of all our kimono on delivery.

Perfect for travel, these kimonos fold up beautifully, slipping right into your suitcase while adding a little luxury that standard hotel robes just can’t match.

In keeping with Japanese tradition, these robes are worn with the left side over the right (a small but meaningful detail, as right over left is traditionally reserved for dressing the deceased!). Want an authentic finishing touch? Consider our Obi belts in Red, Black, or Navy. These are especially useful for our Sumo Kimono.

For the oh-so-sleepy our brand new Japanese pyjamas are now in stock! Jinbei, or Hippari, are worn as nightwear in Japan and consist of a even more relaxed Kimono style jacket and knee length shorts. Fabulously comfortable and unreasonably stylish.
